Day 34 – Nov. 3

“Solomon selected seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand to quarry stone in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.” —II Chronicles 2:2

52% of working families in White County, some working multiple jobs, still struggle to meet basic needs such as food, housing, medical care, etc. Everyone in our community that is willing to work should have a role in the workplace and the opportunity to earn a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work.

Lord, we petition you on behalf of all those in the local workforce. Please bless those that are striving to improve their family’s lives through work and we ask that you bless them with sustaining wages. Please move employers to invest richly in their workers by providing skills training, financial rewards for employees that excel, and opportunities for personal & professional growth. We ask you to bless those that are providing jobs in the community through their companies and businesses. As their businesses grow, we ask that they likewise bless those they employ. A higher tide lifts all boats. With that in mind Lord, we ask for an ocean of blessing that floods the economy of our community.
