Day 23 – Oct. 23

“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus giving thanks through him to God the Father.” -Colossians 3:17

When you see policemen or firemen around the city of Searcy please take a moment to pray for them.  All of these men and women are doing what they do because they answered the call to serve and protect.  All of them have family of some sort that they think of everyday they serve.  Their hope and desire is to return to their families safe at the end of their shift.  So when you see these servants of our community, pray for them and respect them.  They serve to protect and make you and your family environment safe at the cost of their family at times.

Jesus, thank you for the Police and Fire Departments who often sacrifice their family moments to serve and protect our families.  Thank you for calling these men and women to their jobs to create such a safe environment for our community.  Help us to always remember to hold them up in our daily prayers and to thank them for sacrificially serving us.  In your Holy Name, amen.
