Day 20 – Oct. 20

“Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” -Matthew 25:34-36

Although we know that God loves everyone, he seems to have a certain place in his heart for some groups. These generally would fall into the category of “disadvantaged”. We are blessed to have a lot of people and organizations in our community who are attuned to this.

Father, we thank you for allowing us to be your hands and feet in service to others, We pray that we can, as individuals, look for ways to help those who are in distress, We are also, so very thankful for the ministries and non-profits in our community whose very existence and purpose is to serve those in need. Please bless those charitable organizations with good leadership, abundant resources, and an encouraging environment in which to serve and exist. We pray for blessings on these charities and non-profits in every way. In the powerful name of Jesus! Amen.
