Day 19 – Oct. 19

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have said to you.” -John 14:26 NRSV

Jesus promised us Holy Spirit as Advocate and Teacher, the very presence of God who dwells with us. Holy Spirit leads us in many ways, often through the quiet whisper, the gentle nudge, the reminder of what Jesus has already spoken. To praise Holy Spirit is to pay attention, to notice the ways God is guiding and comforting us each day. As we grow in awareness, we discover that Spirit has been present all along, leading us into truth and shaping us into Christ’s likeness.

Holy Spirit, we praise You as our Advocate and Teacher. You remind us of Jesus’ words when we are forgetful, and You guide us when we are uncertain. Thank You for Your faithful presence, for speaking grace and truth into our hearts. Teach us to listen more closely, to slow down and notice how You are at work around us and within us. May our lives be marked by attentiveness to Your leading, and may our praise rise from hearts aware of Your nearness. We love You, Spirit of God, and we welcome Your presence. Amen.
