Paramedics
Scripture
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9
Observation
A recent survey of and subsequent article on Paramedics, EMT’s and First Responders noted warning signs of multiple concerns facing – basically – every level of EMS professionals. It notes burnout as a top concern, communication and feedback, recruiting of those new to the profession, opportunities, and “developing a culture where people feel seen, supported and valued.” Peace will come to those that allow the LORD God to go before them!
Prayer
Father God, place Your arms of support around these servants who strive each day and on each call to care for their communities and each other. Provide for them PEACE – the PEACE of Your Presence and Love – during the times when they are hanging on by a thread. Lead them and guide to “quiet, still waters” that will overcome all anxiety that they may feel in their bones and in their spirit. Provide those that may encourage each of them after a “bad call” when they “cry out” for an ear to allow them to “talk it out. ‘ Father we thank You for the hearts of our Paramedics, EMT’s and First Responders! In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior ~ Amen
