Military

Scripture

Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.”  But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. -Psalms 3:1-6

Observation

Today we are thankful for those who have served and are currently serving in  our military both stateside and abroad. We are also mindful of their families.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for defending your people with your mighty hand. Please hear our prayer as we lift up our military and veterans before you now. They work tirelessly to defend our country. Bless and protect them Lord and use their work for the good of our nation and your glory. We pray for the protection of our armed forces as they serve our country around the world right now. Give them endurance and remind them that their service is worthwhile. May they know that their service is appreciated by us. We thank You, Lord, for using the bravery of these men and women as part of your protection for us.  May they know your presence with them at this time. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with them always. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
