Day 12 – Oct. 12

Jesus said to them…“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” – Matthew 9:12 NKJV

The Bible speaks about physical healing, caring for the sick and injured and the role of physicians. Jesus views medical care from healthcare providers as normal and necessary. Our community is blessed with healthcare facilities and providers available to meet our healthcare needs. Searcy alone has a major medical hospital, a rehab hospital, an outpatient cancer treatment center, an inpatient/outpatient behavioral health hospital, and opening soon an adolescent wellness and recovery inpatient unit for 12 to 17 year olds. The only one in the state. Besides this there are multiple medical clinics and over 300 physicians and healthcare providers for our wellbeing – both physical and mental. Let us be grateful to God for the institutions and individuals who serve us in this way.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the healthcare facilities and providers in our community. Thank you Father they are here to assist in healing our bodies when we are sick or injured. Thank you for each provider’s calling, their training, their skills and their dedication to care for us. Use each care giver as an instrument of your mercy and grace to help bandage our wounds physically and emotionally. May each provider turn to you for wisdom and seek your face realizing that ultimately you are the greatest physician of all. Father, help us not take for granted the medicine and treatment available to us. Thank you for our hospitals and healthcare professionals. In the name of Jesus – AMEN.
